Anyone have an idea how often I should replace the glow plugs on this thing? Winter season is a few months away and I might need to use it, so I'd like to be able to. I have no experience with diesel engines, so I have to ask for some advice.

well, I don't think we usually replace glow plugs on a schedule, we replace them when they fail.Anyone have an idea how often I should replace the glow plugs on this thing? The most common sign of a failing glow plug is hard starting in cold weather or a lot of white smoke when the engine first fires up. If your tractor is starting fine, you're probably okay. But it's a good idea to buy a spare set and keep them on hand for when you do have a problem
Yep, that’s spot on advice from @CatKingpin. Run them and just test resistance.
