Zetor 7341 transmission clunk after shift

My cousin runs a 2006 Zetor 7341 for hay work and it's starting to clunk between 2nd and 3rd under load. Fluid's clean, clutch is good but we suspect wear in the gearbox syncros. Has anyone torn one down and seen play in the input shaft bearings?

@Chick'nBo¡ from my experience, a clunk usually means something's not quite meshing right or has too much play.
If you're diving into the gearbox, pay close attention to the clearances on the gears themselves, not just the syncros.
Sometimes the gear teeth can get worn or chipped, especially on a hard-working piece of equipment like that.
It's a big job, but if you're pulling it apart for syncros, you might as well give those bearings and gears a thorough inspection. Good luck to your cousin!

We've added a full gear inspection to the list of items to check. The tractor's parked until we can get into the gearbox with the plan being to split the case next week. I'm now trying to confirm if any special tooling is needed before we begin.
